The two framed pieces of original art have been salvaged from the old Tasker Milward School in Haverfordwest.

One is a pencil drawing of a rubber plant and garden implements and the other is a more abstract painting of a blue face and figure against a flame type background.

“On a recent visit I saw the only two paintings left on the wall,” he said. “Everything else had been destroyed.”

“My wife did Art A level and did lose a couple of pieces to display purposes and regrets not seeing them again.

“I thought it would be nice for someone to appreciate them again and hope we can find the artists who created them.”

Tasker Milward closed in 2018 when it was merged with Haverfordwest’s other secondary school, Sir Thomas Picton, to create Haverfordwest High.

The school had three buildings located on site; the bottom school, humanities block and the top school.

The top school housed the art department and was where the artworks were found.

After the schools merged, some pupils remained at the Tasker Milward site while a new school was being built.

Haverfordwest High, the new school combining Tasker Milward and Sir Thomas Picton Schools, opened in Prendergast on October 1, 2022.

Since then, the old Tasker Milward site has been the site of vandalism, with police investigating reports of burglary and criminal damage at the site.
