The artist, who is visiting from his home in Los Angeles, is launching his new collection – with the exhibition (which opened on February 27) to run at the gallery until Tuesday, March 4.
The gallery has had a complete makeover to celebrate Mr Brainwash’s exhibition.
Two floors of the gallery are filled with the artist’s works.
Gallery manager, Katy Foxcroft, said: “It is the largest event we have ever held here in the York Gallery and we are super excited to host what we expect to be a hugely successful evening of music, art, and flowing bar!
“We welcome everyone to come in and enjoy the artwork during the day and over the weekend as it is a great opportunity to view all his work in one place.
“New releases, limited editions, and originals, including some amazing sculptures, are now all on show, and everything is available for sale.
“The gallery has been transformed so please do come and enjoy this free experience!”
A spokesperson invited people to grow, or start, their art collection with their very own copy of Balloon Girl, or Banksy Thrower.
Meanwhile, a new edition of the Royal Albert Hall, in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust, will launch today (March 1).
