(ABC 6 News) – Suyao Tian, a Twin Cities-based artist, will be featured at the two-day Austin ArtWorks Festival later this month.
It’s the 14th year that the two-day festival has been held in downtown Austin. Thousands of visitors are expected for this event celebrating visual, performing, and literary arts.
Attendees will have a chance to meet Suyao Tian in person during the festival as she demonstrates her painting techniques. A selection of her work will also be on display on the second floor of the Austin ArtWorks Center.
Tian earned her Master’s degree at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design where she currently serves as adjunct faculty. She also works as an independent curator and water-based media abstract painter.
The 2025 Austin ArtWorks Festival will feature 83 exhibiting and emerging artists from eight states, a stage for authors and performers, live music, free family art activities, and art-making demonstrations.
It all runs from August 23rd to the 24th in downtown Austin.
