The Artworks Gallery in downtown Seneca Falls will host a watercolor floral painting workshop with artist Roberta Nelson on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The hands-on class will focus on the traditional glazing method — layering watercolor washes from light to dark to build depth and color. “The top wash will determine the final effect,” Nelson explained in the announcement.
Participants are asked to bring their own supplies, including watercolor paints (excluding tints), brushes, cold-pressed 140lb paper (9”x12” or larger), a stretching board, tape, a water container, and a few floral photo references. The instructor will provide information sheets to guide the process.
Registration costs $40 and is due by August 23. To sign up, email [email protected].
The Artworks Gallery, located at 109 Fall Street, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to call 315-257-0201 before visiting to ensure a volunteer is available.
