The app comes complete with a virtual backpack you can add his unique badges on to once you’ve completed a challenge such as Cat Bells or Helvellyn.

If losing yourself in colourful canvas paintings is more your vibe, visitors should check out Aiyra Ahmed’s vibrant memories of the Pakistani village her family originated from, a place recently lost after the construction of a dam.

Aiyra from Accrington, who had never visited Pakistan before, made the two-week trip to the village of Domal to rediscover the cultural roots she’d repressed in order to fit into Western culture.

Aiyra said: “My artwork allowed me to express my Pakistani heritage. The country is such a vibrant and colourful place and I wanted my work to clearly represent that. The painting is a memory of a village now lost to the construction of the dam and one day I’d love for it to be displayed in the area it was created.”

In the University’s Victoria Building you’ll find textiles including Katie Parker’s bold designs inspired by the natural world around her.

Katie, who is from Blackpool, said: “I have an enduring love for natural forms and I’m forever collecting pebbles from beaches and leaves from my woodland walks, which I want to use in the textile world. Nature is an endless source of ideas.”

The University of Central Lancashire Degree Show 2025 is free to attend and open to the
public until Friday 27 June. It is exhibited in Victoria Building, Hanover Building and the
Engineering and Innovation Centre (EIC).
