Artist Joe Engerer is exhibiting his works at the Banca Giuratale in Pjazza Indipendenza (It-Tokk), Victoria.

Silent Echoes captures the beauty of everyday life and the splendour of the natural world through a collection of landscapes and still-life paintings.

The artistic journey begins with evocative scenes of Mediterranean life, where golden sunsets bathe the sky in brilliant shades of orange and rose. These landscapes transport viewers to peaceful rural settings, featuring horse-drawn carts along dusty country roads and village life amid ancient stone buildings and prickly pear cacti.

The luminous skies and timeless traditions portrayed reflect a way of life profoundly connected to both land and sea.

Complementing these landscapes are rich still-life compositions.

Vibrant fruits overflow from ornate bowls, their vivid colours contrasted against striking blue backgrounds.

Elaborate floral arrangements – featuring roses, hollyhocks and hydrangeas – burst from decorative vases in a harmony of colour and form. Each composition becomes a meditation on beauty, transience and the simple pleasures of everyday existence.

Through a masterful use of light, colour and texture, these works invite viewers to pause and appreciate the extraordinary within the ordinary.
