City of Moreton Bay is bringing art and creativity to where people are going about their everyday lives with our first city-wide Outdoor Gallery.

Under the South East Queensland (SEQ) City Deal Public Art Initiatives, City of Moreton Bay will establish the Outdoor Gallery and commission up to 22 Australian artists to create original artworks for the inaugural 12-month exhibition.

Comprised of billboards, light boxes, digital screens and projection, the City of Moreton Bay Outdoor Gallery will exhibit quality, contemporary, two-dimensional artworks at up to six high-profile outdoor locations across our polycentric city.

The first exhibition of the Outdoor Gallery, expected to open in November 2026, will be themed ‘Half a Million Imaginations’. City of Moreton Bay is home to just over half a million people who together make up our diverse communities.

The exhibition will be in place for 12 months and will include original artworks of up to 22 Australian artists, pending funding application outcomes. The artists and artworks they create will reflect the diversity of our communities.
