The Artworks Gallery in downtown Seneca Falls will offer a Colored Pencil Shading Workshop on Thursday, September 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., led by artist Roberta Nelson. The workshop will cover dry methods for blending colored pencil strokes, including overlaying colors, glazing, burnishing, and using colorless blending pencils to achieve a painterly effect.
Participants are required to bring drawing paper, a set of Prismacolor colored pencils (including white, grey, and black), an eraser, and a colorless blending pencil. Instruction packets and blending swabs will be provided. The cost for the workshop is $30, and registration is required by September 12.
