The mosaic, one of the longest-lived forms of decorative art, which has stood the test of time since antiquity, is documented through the first volume of the series “Corpus of Mosaics of Albania”, dedicated to mosaics in the Ancient City of Butrint, with authors Marie- Patricia Raynaud and Agron Islami.

The First Volume “The Corpus of Mosaics of Albania” reflects the work of several years of field research of mosaic floors (mosaics, opus sectile and covering with tiles or tiles) in the territory of Albania. It contains a detailed inventory of all Butrint mosaics, documented according to the plates dedicated to this typology.
