Archie, a student at Hexham Middle School, will have his piece, Moorland Express, featured in the Royal Academy’s Young Artists’ Summer Show.
His work was chosen for display by a panel of artists and art professionals from nationwide submissions.
The artwork will be displayed in the online exhibition from July 14.
A spokesman for Hexham Middle School said: “This is a phenomenal achievement, congratulations Archie.
“We are all exceptionally proud of you.”
