Avatar: The Last Airbender Quietly Teases New Movie Designs for Aang, Zuko and More

The upcoming animated sequel film for Avatar: The Last Airbender is redesigning fans’ favorite characters, and enthusiasts will be able to pore over them courtesy of another new upcoming release.

The official art book for Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender (previously The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender) has been announced, and while fans haven’t quite received a sneak peek at what it will hold, it is already promising to be the perfect addition to every Avatar collection.

Published by Abrams Books, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender — The Art of the Movie is currently available for pre-order for $50 and slated for release on Nov. 10.

Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender is currently slated to premiere on Paramount+ on Oct. 9, and will pick up with the titular hero and his allies years after the events of the original animated series. The film will largely revolve around the discovery of Tagah, an ancient Airbender who, like Aang, was frozen alive for generations, as well as the hunt for a long-lost artifact that could hold the key to restoring their culture.

Unfortunately for the studios behind the film, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender has been at the center of near-endless controversy and criticism over the past few months. In December 2025, it was announced that the movie would be foregoing a cinematic release as initially intended, much to the ire of fans of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise.

Arguably far worse was the recent leak of the film, with Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender making its way onto social media and various torrent sites in its entirety. Within a matter of days, Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender was officially the second most pirated movie in the world, topped only by the recently released Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling.
